Cobbania corrugata

Cobbania corrugata is an extinct floating aroid from the fossil record, closely related to today's water lettuce (Pistia). Because it is known only from fossils, it is not grown as a garden plant, so care fields describe its modern relative's habit rather than cultivation.

About

Cobbania corrugata is an extinct species of floating aroid, closely related to modern-day water lettuce. It is the type species of the genus Cobbania.

It was included in the genus Pistia when it was first described by Leo Lesquereux in 1876, but it now sits in its own genus, Cobbania, along with Cobbania hickeyi.
