Parsonsia praeruptis is a rare New Zealand shrub in the dogbane family, found only on the Surville Cliffs of the North Cape Peninsula where it scrambles through windswept coastal scrub. It is not a true climber, and it is hard to grow outside its native cliff habitat, so it is rarely cultivated.
