Despain's cactus is a rare, federally endangered subspecies of Pediocactus bradyi that grows only in the San Rafael Swell of Utah. It is a small, globe-shaped cactus that shrinks underground in dry or cold periods, so it is very hard to grow and should be left in the wild.
