Cook Strait Bristle Grass

Rytidosperma petrosum

Rytidosperma petrosum is a small, stiff, dense tussock grass endemic to New Zealand, found around the Cook Strait on coastal cliffs and offshore islands. It is a wild native rather than a common garden plant, so its care is mostly inferred from its rocky, exposed coastal habitat.
